These recipes were taken from a group of McCalls soft covered recipes books that were weekly grocery store giveaways when I was a teen! I collected them for my hope chest! My mom got a set for me and a set for her. Over the years my set has begun to fall apart so I thought if I saved it here on my blog I would have some of my favorites for ever! OH and my children can get to them this way also! Also going to pin them on pintrest from here! LOL! if you stumble on them on my blog, trust me they are the best!!!

Photography

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

So I decided I want to learn more about photography and so I took a class from a local photographer and I have been spending lots of time on the internet trying to learn more about photoshop also.

I am truly hoping I can see a difference as I look at future photos and compare them to some of the photos from the past!

One thing I learned about was movement and capturing a photo without the blur of movement!

So I was very excited when I went the next day to my grandson's ball games and caught 2 of my all time favorites of them playing ball.

I am still busy learning and downloading free brushes, textures and actions.  I am considering some purchases also of some actions and other photoshop goodies! So much to learn so little time!!

The only thing I am trying to be careful about though is that I don't get so busy learning that I don't find time for SCRAPBOOKING!

Scrapbook Steals April Blog Hop

Welcome to the HOP!!

I was so very honored and excited to be asked to be part of Scrapbook Steals April Blog Hop, I just love Scrapbook Steals! You have to love great deals on scrapbooking supplies and then as an extra there are lots of great scrapbooking ideas!
I was excited to try American Crafts Wood Veneer Pieces, there are so many things you can do with them. I thought of painting them or inking them, covering them with pattern paper or just wood staining them but in the end on today's layout I decided to use my copics to color them. The American crafts Wood Veneer Hexagons seemed  the perfect embellishment for Echo Park All about a boy collection. The orange hexagons were placed right on  a border that was printed with hexagons to give a great 3d effect! Just so many possibilities!

Here is my layout that I used American Crafts Wood Veneer Hexagon Pieces to create:

Missed a day already!

well I have missed one day of photos already but only due to illness. I was sick enough that I did not eat and barely drank anything all day so I guess it was a good enough reason! but here are my photos for the 3rd and the 5th! I have yet to take the photo for the 6th~! guess I need to get moving!

365 days of photos

that is my goal for the year! I doubt I will be able to do each and everyday but if I aim for each day then maybe I will do at least half the year. Here is my photos for Jan. 1st and Jan. 2nd. but I will admit to cheating slightly already! the first photo was Done dec. 31st at approx 1130 pm at my nieces wedding! So I decided it is close enough.
