My own layout sketch!

I posted a sketch challenge on Scrap Friendzy using one of my own sketches. Not my first sketch but the first I have shared with others (layout sketches) I have share card ones but never a layout one. Anyways some of the members have done the sketch and I am finding it is a great feeling to see others us my sketch. My Dream

yes once again I have neglected my blog! It has been a bad few months but my word for this year is POSSIBLE because I truly believe all things are possible when you trust in God! So I am trying to kick things up and enjoy the things I can do! Which include trying to keeping up on my blog!

I just finished a layout I did for two places, one being the wonderful Sketch-a-thon over at Scrap Friendzy This is for sketch #5 and is one of our very own Dt Shannon's original sketches.

I also did the layout for Challenge #12 at Scrapping Everyday Miracles.

Here is my layout (which took a lot of nerve for me since I am in my bathing suit)

We hear It's in God's plan but sometimes we just don't understand WHY! I know everyone can relate to that! Well I have done a layout about this related to some stresses in my life. So I thought I would share it! By the way the layout is done using the October Sunshine harvest kit from Scrap Friendzy

My layout is from my missions trip to St. Kitts in 1998. Yes I said 1998, I am a little behind! In the upper photo we are singing "This little light of Mine" to the children. We helped build a preschool on the Island of St. Kitts. In St. Kitts preschool is mandatory. The previous building had holes, it was so bad! Well that is another layout I have to do, the photos of the old building! Yep and even the photos of the new building! But for now here is the layout of the children! I pray that these children will always let their light Shine!

Wow can you believe that summer is almost over

It has amazed me how fast this summer has flown by! Today I sat out on my patio and it felt like FALL! Now I love fall but this is just a little to fast for me!!!!

It also amazes me that we are all ready at sketch #95 on the LCOM sketch blog!!!

And what an amazing sketch it is! I loved working with it!

SKETCH 91 is up!!!

WOW how time does fly! sketch 91 is up on the LET'S Capture Our Memories blog! Once again the sketch designers are AWESOME! I love the sketch! They are always so great and easy to make a gorgeous layout!

So last friday I went to a Copics Certification class! I am sold! I am in love! I truly enjoyed the class and am pleased to say that I am now a Copics Certified designer!! WOOT WOOT! Notice my little tag on the side bar on the right! It looks like this....

So life is getting in the way!

LOL Life seems to get in the way sometimes and I get so behind on my blog! I truly need to find a way to make myself more consistent in posting!

I am getting excited! Next week on friday I am going to be taking a Copics class to become a Copics Certified Teacher. Being certified is not as exciting as the fact that I will learn more about my Copics markers! ALSO for the very first time ever I am going to get to meet some ladies from a scrapbook forum!!!

I think I have a new favorite layout!!! I did a scraplift from the fatastic Zoe Newburg and I just love the layout!

1) I was born in my grandmothers house because my mother refused to go to the hospital.

2) I love flowers and gardening and love the feel of working with rich soil with my bare hands.

3) I am not just a scrapper but also a decorative painter

4) I have been working for months on a huge, and I mean huge mural at my church.

5) I am a registered nurse and one of the best jobs I have had was Labor and Delivery nurse

6) I have been on three missions trips, one to Albania, one to St. Kitts and one to Macon Georgia to a Childrens home. Planning to go to Czech Republic next year.

7) I have been married to the most wonderful man for almost 36 years

We had a bad storm hit us last thursday and lost internet for 6 days, electric was thankfully only 2 days. The storm ripped the top off 5 of our pines. Knocked a tree across our driveway and also one fell from one side of the driveway across the driveway but did not fall as it landed and was held up by the electric wires.

thought I would share a few photos of the damage. sorry did not get any of the driveway as the electric company cleaned it up before I got out with the camera.
