Saw My own md today about my KNEE

OH MY OH MY! Well he looks, an looks and says "I wish I could have seen this sooner, I wish you had never went to physical therapy" AH GEE THANKS!!!
THen he tells me he is bringing in another doctor he will be back in "5"Minutes! yeah right! 17 minutes later in the two walk, telling me that they are 99% sure it is a minscus tear and that I definetly have effusion of the knee now ( fluid on the knee) caused by the inflammation which they feel exercising caused!! OH GREAT! Now they wish some xrays were done before, humm my question too!!! but now they are going to inject cortisone INTO THE KNEECAP! I BEG YOUR PARDON!!

Then wait a few days and do an mri, well in a few days I am going away, so they will do the MRI on the 14th and if they are right and the injection has not taken ALL pain away, then surgery!

OKAY the injection time, the lady md, not mine does the injection, OKAY she supposebly (spelling oh well) numbs the knee, ok now this is someone who has had anywhere from 8 to 12 needle injections in the neck and back of the head, and they do the back of the head every 3 months and when they do it feels like the seperate the skull but I grin and bear.... but this I am moaning and dying and like ready to scream and curse (not, because I do not use curse words!!!) but anyways she keeps saying sorry I can't get into the knee cap you must relax, man I am wiggling my toes like a chiropractor taught me and trying to breath but My pain level is sky high, finally she says okay I think I got it. YOU THINK.

THEN she says I am going to have Dr. Manohar order a xray because either there is massive arthritis in there from an old injury ( not that I recall) or lots of calcification of the ligaments for some strange reason. So then she says the numbing will take effect and the knee will feel painless for several hours and then later your knee will be a LITTLE achy but a few days later it should feel much better.
Then My doctor comes back in and they discuss the swelling in my hands and my emg from oct and decide I need hand xrays and to see the hand specialist and most likely surgery because of the emg results from oct but at the very least cortisone injections in both hands for the carpal tunnel and for the ganglion cyst which is getting bigger. So I say NO MORE CORTISONE TODAY!!

So I go for the xray, BY THE WAY THE NUMBING MED IS NOT WORKING, THE XRAY KILLS, walking from one building to the next to get to where we parked at mayo is killing me!

Remember the game bottom of the pile?

Don't know what everyone else called it?!?!? but it was a game where one person gets jumped on by someone and pretty soon everyone else piles on untill the person on the bottom is pretty much squooshed! Well that is sure how life can be at times with problems and trials! One problem jumps on your back then adheres, maybe it's one that won't go away like a health problem, then another comes and sticks on and then another, then another and pretty soon you are fighting to enjoy the joys of life!!!

Boy the bible tells us that God will never let us have more then we can handle but sometimes when he lets that last person jump on that pile I don't think God realizes just how much that person weighs!

Doing my devotion today and feeling like between the daily health issues, my blasted knee, my other problems with family, missing friends/no friends in this place, so many stresses, I am so tired, I thought about Psalms 18: 6-10

In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears. The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook. He parted the heavens and came down. He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.' Psalm 18: 6-10
well Lord I have been praying and crying enough, enough so maybe just maybe things will start to look up! Faith is not believing God can... it is knowing that He will... I must remember this and have FAITH!!!
Thanking GOD that He reminds me each day to have Faith and praying each day to keep JOY IN MY HEART AND TO SHARE THAT JOY and to never ever seem like a down hearted person and to beg others to please let me know if I am ever being negative as I never ever want that. ESPECIALLY on TMS!! I feel enought NEGATIVITY lately in my home!!!! Thanking God daily for my husband! He is my rock but he needs to be more of a stand up kind of person instead of allowing the garbage!!! He also needs to support me more or he does not realize what it is doing to me or is it care. HUMM........

Okay enough of this garbage negative post, so sorry to share such a downer post!!!

Missing Britton

I have been thinking about Britton alot lately! I have not seen him since Feb. The child is not going to know this grandmother!! He is coming here in August but then I don't know when I will see him again!! They say his speech therapy is going well and the other therapies will start soon. I am anxious to see how it has affected him! I am anxious to see if it makes a difference in how he plays with his cousins!
I am also looking forward to getting our very first entire family picture, of course it will just be with my camera, but hey something is better then nothing!

I am sure hoping Amy will go to church that day, it will be totally awesome to have everyone in church together. WHAT A PRAISE THAT WILL BE! WHAT A FIRST! Thank you Lord! how far we have come, how much that time spent on my knees has paid off! GOD IS GOOD!!!!

speaking of Knees, Nope therapy, ice, exercise, all that is happening is swelling and pain, I think it is time to insist on at the very least an xray! and I don't want to hear it but I know what my gut is telling me! I just ticks me off! really ticks me off! Don't I have enough going on with out this!!!!

I HATE MIGRAINES!!!

I worked on a migraine all day today and then finally late afternoon/early evening sometime I knew it was going to really hit because I felt really light headed and so I sat down in Son and dil's room and yep I was right I did what I had not done in a long time again, I passed out royally, son said I was out at least 30-40 secounds said he was slapping me in the face with no response. I then started to come through but could not talk for about 1 minute and then my speech was slurred for a few minutes and boy was my head ponding and the light was killing me. Dil and hubby went and got my injection, but it was not easy for me to do it since I was in such rough shape. I was reching and in so much pain for so long, then hubby helped me to bed. I slept about 2 hours and then got up and I vomited and I have been suffering with a headache since but not severe but when I get one like this it is a shoein that I will have another the next day just not as severe. The doctors say its residual migraines. I AM SO SICK OF THEM.. they blame them on my neurological problems! so of course I have alot of increased numbness in the right side of my face and increased ear pain tonight!! AND They want to try changing meds to decrease my sideeffects so I am really nervous when that happens because I am so afraid of the problems getting worse again!!!

Totally Emily and Cloud 9 July's Kit

Well the long await kit from The Memory Safe came yesterday and I was able to whip out a layout tonight! I sure have come a long way in this past year! I use to take hours to days to do one layout and now it takes a couple hours to do one!

I thought the Cloud 9 Mums paper was just perfect for Emilys pictures where she posed by my peonies. I am pleased with the layout and SO IS EMILY!! Tomorrow I am hoping to do one of Chelsea, oddly enough I took some cute pictures of her Fathers day in a shirt with about the same colors! So it should also go great with the kit and the ribbon with the words will be perfect for her pose!!

A laundry basket full of love!

Ok who does not like laundry baskets that look like this! Father's day I brought up a load of laundry (hoping for help folding!) and since there was a lack of seats the boys found a great use for the basket! Then Jason thought it was really comfy and got so cozy that he took a snooze! Gotta love them!!

Ready for an eye full.... here is my scrap/paint room

Angela tagged me so I am posting pictures of my scrap/painting room! Lots of pictures. Since this is the first time I have had one please remember that, I am just learning how to organize it, just set it up less then a week ago and already rearranged it once and replaced some of the furniture!! okay here are the pictures! the tall wooden cuboard is my paint cuboard, all of the 7 large drawers ( the bottom 7) can hold over 100 bottles of acrylic paint, and most do! The wooden cuboard holding my paper I got the other day at goodwill for 3.99, the top and bottom level have 15 dividers for papers, the top fits 12 x 12 and the bottom fits 8 1/2 x 11. the middle level has 2 dividers so 3 slots and they are adjustable but they don't stay up well so hubby has to figure out a better system there! the three drawer file cabinet is all paint books! oh and I have more elsewhere! And yes I share the room with the washer and dryer but hey have you ever seen such a big laundry room? Next I am going to tag LindaE, Nancyroo, Nancyajones.

Angela tagged me, but I was still in the middle of rearranging.

So I promised pictures today but it is just going to have to be tomorrow as I am suppose to be staying of the leg and so I can only do a little at a time!!! So I will be finished up tomorrow!!! Hey what can I say, I have scrapped out of Creative memory bags for 3 years besides some tackle boxes and now I just finishing finally emptying those bags and boxes and every other crook and nanny to put it all together in one place!!! so be patient!!!!!!

Good old Chambers Camp!

It's getting so Close to camptime at Chambers Camp in New York, just can't believe our camper is still there and will sit empty this year! All those wonderful friends milling around the camp and us hundreds of miles away missing all the great times. The campfires, the family times, the services, the games, TAWG, the "fresh country air smells"! The time with friends. I was even on the committee that helped plan the new playground!!! How do you like the part you can see in the picture???

I am going to try the camp here but we don't have a camper here and it's doubtful we will bring ours here so it will most likely be day trips so it will not be near as fun. I am finding it quite depressing so I need to SNAP out of it and remember that I do have many many wonderful years of terrific memories and that my children have had some life changing experiences because of Chambers. Including DD meeting her hubby there!!!

So happy to feel like scrapping again!!
I also did another page with Noah and the little car I bought him at goodwill! And hopefully tomorrow I will have another page done I am working on too! Hope I don't keep so busy that I use up all this mojo before the new kits come!! LOL!

Sunday cookies

Noah and Jason helped grandma make chocolate chip cookies today! It was interesting, to say the least!! Still lots to get settled at the house and I had the worst headache yesterday so I did not get much done after my work at Michaels! I am worried how I will get all done before Will's dad gets here wed. Especially since I have a neurologist appt. tomorrow. Hardly been on the puter due to all the work at the house too.

Noah's turn at the doctors

this is a picture from a week ago when we were fooling with the timer on the camera!

Last night Noah spent the night coughing and puking, thank you very much! I nebulized him every 3 to 4 hours and in between he puked. Poor baby!! what a night! so he took his turn at the doctors and now he is also on an antibiotic but I have a gut feeling he won't be getting better until they add in the steroid because the cough is just to wicked!!! I am hoping to sleep some tonight but then it is already after 1 am!!

Jason's late afternoon trip to the doctors!

Today I went outside with the boys to take pictures of my gardens while the boys played, after finishing the pictures, I notice Jason has gone to sit on the steps and so I snapped a picture.
Then I asked him why he was sitting there and he said, "me too hot grandma, I want to go inside and play." So we all went inside. Shortly after getting inside he begins to cry his ear hurts and I mean sobbing, and this is someone who is a mr. tough guy. I take his temp and it is 99.8 but he is just grabbing his ear in pain. I know he is in way to much pain to wait till tomorrow even though it is now 3 pm. So I call the doctors office and they say be here by 4pm no later (it is now 315) now let me tell you that from here to the doctors office is about 40 minutes doing best time and I still have to grab diapers for Noah and put noahs sandels back on!
I flew to the doctors office and I made it and they said it is one bad ear infection. Jason said, it hurt when you were cleaning the kitchen too grandma real bad but I didn't tell you. So now I have told him that he does not wait to tell me.

Today I took in one of the pieces for one of my next classes and the class I was teaching went nuts so I guess it is a big hit. It is a paper mache box with faces for all seasons based on a design by Shara Reiner. I had to adapt the size quite a bit as I could not get the box she originally did the design on so it was a chore to change it to fit but I am pleased with the outcome.

Hoping this one will pull in a lot of newcomers too!
Deb has decided to go to HOOT! so now I have someone to ride with me! so relieved as I was worried how I was going to make the trip on my own!!! Hoping Linda won't mind a third person in the room!

Tomorrow Jay and Amy move in! Posted by Picasa

Memorial Day weekend!

Got some help from the troops at home this weekend! Something unusual for a change!! Noah and Pop pops helped with the vacuming! Will was informed unless he buys a vacume soon ( in NY we had central vacume and when DD was living with us after moving here we used hers so now we still don't have one here so we keep borrowing ones and I just can't use them because they are not easy ones to use and with my neck I have to have ones that self propel.) so I informed him I refuse to vacume so live with dog hair, etc. He puts it off because the self propelled ones aren't cheap and he is mr. cheap himself....

Memorial day we went to Colleen's from Church for a picnic. Jay Jay was being just like dad and climing the trees, Aunt Mindy took a picture of dad in the other tree at the same time!
Right after we ate lunch, they started a soft ball game, I missed the picture of Jay jay hitting the ball at his first up to bat, then before he could get up to bat again his dad hit a ball way across the dirt road into the field and Colleen fell in the road going to get it and cut her leg open badly so I took her to the hospital for stitches so never got any more pictures.
Did I say very badly!!! SHE got 24 stitches in her knee!! I knew the moment I looked at the knee it was bad. She hates for people to make a fuss and was worried about her husband so she tied a bandana she was wearing on her head around it, so I was the only one who ever saw how bad it was and so when we came back and I told them 24 stitches, no one would believe me!! It looked like a big smile on her knee.
So much for a relaxful day!!! But she took it very well!

Well this week is the week Amy and Jason move in, so Lord I am trusting this is the right decision!!
Yesterday Wendy moved back, and I will no longer have the responsibility of helping her and I am so relieved! She was so much more mentally ill and manipulitive then I ever realized. I am hoping that the release of that stress will help me physically also.

It is time for you to meet the Beauty of the Family!

Beauty is our 12 year old half beagle and half border collie dog! She is one of the best behaved dogs I know and smart too!
When we were living in upstate N.Y. she awoke us one night right before we moved by barking a bark that I knew something was wrong. Turns out someone was trying to break into the neighbors house. She knew it was not them! We called them and they in turn called the police. Turns out the lady was higher then a kite! Beauty got a bag full of treats from the neighbors!

I am doing a photo challenge on The Memory Safe that Jaci has posted and so yesterday I was outside taking some photos and I took a few tilted photos of my birdbath the kids gave me for Mother's day but I thought I would put the one I took of it that is not tilted on my blog also!

Today is Chelsea's birthday! It is so hard to believe she is already 11! So she chose to go out to The Outback for dinner so I will probaly be writing more tonight or else I will just wait and add it tomorrow!

My Class at Michaels (last night thursday)

Wow what a class, this was suppose to be the last of the class but I am scheduling an extra night! There is a gentlemen in the class that is so slow and demanding and he seems to just take over the class and slow the whole class down. He is a very large man and he will seem very nice and then all of a sudden he will act annoyed about something and he gets very angry acting and auctually scares me!

So anyways it is taking us so long to finish this piece and even his girlfriend who is in the class too acts like she is annoyed with him being in the class. So now we will have to work on it again together. The class is doing it on the file folder pictured but I usually work on something that is a little larger so they can see mine better when painting with them so I am putting mine on a wooden scrapbook album cover, so I am anxious to get it done! Today I also painted on a layout of my grandson Jason!
